History

Sue is a 44 year old mother of 2 daughters Abi and Molly, who discovered juicing through the passion of her mother Carol Brace, the UK’s first Natural Juice Therapist. Sue has recently qualified as a Natural Juice Therapist and is another first, for Thanet. Sue was inspired to complete the NJT course by her mother and a desire to work with people to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

Sue is a registered Mental Health Nurse and has been working in this field for 15 years. She is an experienced practitioner working with acutely mentally ill people, which she is very passionate about and wants to make a real difference to people’s lives.

Sue saw the opportunity to undertake the NJT course to improve people’s mental and physically wellbeing, especially for those who have or currently are suffering from a mental illness. Sue wishes to work with people to recognise the benefits of good nutrition on one’s mental and physical health.

Sue’s professional nursing skill set consists of therapeutic counselling, group work, medication management, assessment skills, suicide prevention, physical assessment skills, anger management, anxiety management, depression management.

Future plans include devising a weight management programme which Sue and Carol plan to roll out next month. They are also working towards
taking the benefits of Natural Juice Therapy to the corporate arena to benefit organisations.

Sue also plans to undertake some research looking at the benefits of juice therapy on the mental well-being of children and young adults, so watch this space.
